Gamerse Integrates Chainlink Price Feeds for Secure NFT Marketplace Price Conversions
Gamerse is proud to announce the upcoming integration of Chainlink Price Feeds on BSC! By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, we now have access to real-time price data that helps us build out a more unified and user-friendly experience for our Social Aggregator Marketplace (SAM), which is due to launch Friday 15th April.
The end vision for Gamerse’s SAM is a cross-chain, cross-platform hub that curates, displays, and facilitates all gaming NFTs and their transactions to provide a true one-stop-shop for play-to-earn gamers. In order to achieve this goal, Gamerse must make incremental steps in building out the most user-friendly platform with intuitive functionality available on the marketplace.
An important consideration for building a cross-chain marketplace is to provide NFT buyers with all the information they need to make an educated decision. For example, when an NFT marketplace lists prices in a variety of different digital assets, it can be hard for buyers to understand the actual cost of any one item — especially during volatile market times where there are constant fluctuations.
That’s why we needed Chainlink Price Feeds, which allow us to provide users with reliable, real-time conversions to USD based on the underlying price of cryptocurrencies. With the goal of building out a holistic multi-chain NFT marketplace, our SAM initially enables users to transact using BNB, ETH, and MATIC.
After reviewing various oracle solutions, we opted to integrate Chainlink Price Feeds because they are the most time-tested decentralized oracle solution in the industry, currently securing tens of billions of dollars in value for leading DeFi and GameFi projects. Some of the key features of Chainlink Price Feeds include:
- High-Quality Data — Chainlink Price Feeds source data from numerous premium data aggregators, leading to price data that’s aggregated from hundreds of exchanges, weighted by volume, and cleaned from outliers and suspicious volumes. Chainlink’s data aggregation model generates more precise global market prices that are resistant to API downtime, flash crash outliers, and data manipulation attacks like flash loans.
- Secure Node Operators — Chainlink Price Feeds are secured by independent, security-reviewed, and Sybil-resistant oracle nodes run by leading blockchain DevOps teams, data providers, and traditional enterprises with a strong track record for reliability, even during high gas prices and extreme network congestion.
- Decentralized Network — Chainlink Price Feeds are decentralized at the data source, oracle node, and oracle network levels, generating strong protections against downtime and tampering by either the data provider or the oracle network.
- Transparency — Chainlink provides a robust reputation framework and set of on-chain monitoring tools that allow users to independently verify the historical performance of node operators and oracle networks, as well as check the real-time prices being offered.
As previously mentioned, Chainlink’s wide range of off-chain data is constantly being implemented in newer blockchains, making multi-chain expansion a breeze. Specifically, we plan to integrate Solana-based Chainlink Price Feeds when it becomes available — marking another addition to the SAM’s extensive list of multi-chain expansions.
